Olena Feshovets
Ukrainian translator

Olena Feshovets is Ukrainian translator, linguist and English teacher. She was born on October 19, 1970 in Mykolaiv, Lviv region.

In 1994 she graduated from Lviv State Ivan Franko University (now "national" university) and received degree in English language and literature. She studied at the International School of Translation and Interpretation "Translation Workshop 2000-2001". In 2003-2005 Olena became a Fulbright scholarship winner and was studying English literature at Richmond University in USA.

She worked as an English teacher at Lviv National Ivan Franko University, Ukrainian Catholic University, IT-company. She also has an experience in teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language.

Olena Feshovets started practicing translation when she was a student. She translated the epic high-fantasy novel by J. R. R. Tolkien «The Lord of the Rings» into Ukrainian. She was also translating such bestsellers as «Wild at Heart» by John Eldredge, «The Song of the Bird» by Anthony de Mello and «The Grand Chessboard» by Zbigniew Brzezinski. Olena translated few stories of Edgar A. Poe, James Joyce’s stories, William Faulkner, Katherine A. Porter and numerous scientific, non-fiction, technical texts.
