Oleh Korol
Ukrainian translator

Oleg Korol is a Ukrainian translator. He was born on March 11th 1952 in the town of Lutchytsi, Sokal district, Lviv region. In 1969 he entered the Mechanical Engineering Department of Lviv Polytechnic Institute. Oleg learned English as he was studying there.

In 1986 he made his debut as a translator by translating a story “Kurupiru” by Václav Kajdoš for the Vsesvit magazine. At the beginning of 1980’s he started learning Swedish and began translating a lot of Swedish works as well.
